Help
Live consultation
IncludedA Sequencing Coach discusses your results with you in a one-to-one session.
Getting tested
Activate the kit for the person tested, collect cheek swabs at home and mail them to the laboratory. Track progress from your account.
Preparing for your test
- Activation and deadline
- Return within 180 days of ordering or at least 90 days before printed expiry, whichever is sooner. Activate before return; unactivated lab samples can be destroyed after 30 days.
- Collection
- Follow the supplied swab instructions; no additional preparation interval established by this review.
About Sequencing.com
Sequencing.com offers home cheek-swab whole-genome sequencing with health reports and downloadable DNA files. Bundles differ in report topics and processing speed. Genome Plans supply continuing interpretation tools; raw data and purchased reports can remain on the Free plan.

What people praise
Consultations make complex findings clearer
Customers praise genetic specialists who patiently walk through reports, answer questions and explain unfamiliar findings, helping them feel more comfortable using the information they receive.
Detailed reports and helpful service
Positive accounts describe in-depth findings, progress updates and support when something goes wrong, including help replacing a lost kit or finding the right report.
Things to know
- Kit sales are final; plan renewal can be stopped.
Downgrade to Free at least one day before renewal. Return activated kits within the stated kit deadline.
- The included Genome Plan renews monthly.
The bundle’s introductory month begins after sequencing; paid tools require the applicable plan. Qualifying raw files and purchased reports can remain on Free, while subscription AI outputs are deleted after downgrade.
- AI tools can use third-party services.
Genetic information, reports and chat may be processed by outside AI services. Research consent is separate from service processing.
- Activate before mailing your sample.
Use the supplied swabs for the registered person and follow the kit’s return deadline.
Alternatives
23andMe · Premium Ancestry + Health

Can I keep my files without a paid Genome Plan?
Qualifying raw files and separately purchased marketplace reports can remain on Free. Subscription AI reports and features have different retention terms, so save needed outputs before downgrading.
Is a year of the plan included?
No. Includes one month of Professional, starting after sequencing. The plan then automatically renews month-to-month unless you downgrade to Free at least one day before renewal. The kit-included plan has no annual commitment. Paid tools and updates require the applicable active plan.
What do I keep after downgrade?
Raw files and separately purchased marketplace reports can remain on Free. Subscription SequencingAI reports and chat are deleted when downgrade takes effect.
Are reports reviewed by a clinician?
An included one-to-one Sequencing Coach session helps you navigate reports. Medical genetic counseling is a separate service, and AI-generated outputs are generally not individually reviewed.
How are AI and genetic data used?
AI can share genetic/report/chat data with third-party services that may retain some indefinitely. Most AI outputs lack human review. Separate research consent does not eliminate service, advertising, legal or business-transfer disclosures.
Can I return or refund the kit?
Kit sales are final and nonrefundable at order, including delays. Specific repeated-sample-failure exceptions apply; plan fees are nonrefundable without routine prorations. First and second sample failures can receive free reprocessing/replacement; a third failure has a shipping/handling-qualified refund exception.
How long can I wait to return my sample?
Return within 180 days of ordering or at least 90 days before printed expiry, whichever is sooner. Activate before return; unactivated lab samples can be destroyed after 30 days.
