- Assay scope
- About 750,000 measured Illumina chip markers plus statistical imputation to about 13 million variants. Imputed positions are not directly measured; selected-variant inherited reports remain partial.
- Alzheimer’s and APOE
- An Alzheimer disease-risk report is included.
- US medication reports
- Current US SKU advertises 95 pharmacogenetic reports. Provider US help says release requires physician prescription for a medical indication/current medication, with no additional fee. Product advertising and help do not reconcile automatic access for every US buyer; conditional/partial US availability, not an extra paid report.
Results
Report
The web report explains the variant result and provides condition-specific information.
Official Advanced demo- Results
- Genetic health-risk, ancestry and wellness reports for Advanced or Ultra.
- Download
- Selected-marker genotype data in a CSV inside a ZIP file.
- Timing
- About 4–6 weeks after a valid sample reaches the lab; estimate, with shipping additional.
Help
Live consultation
Extra feeYou can purchase a separate results consultation where available for your US order.
Getting tested
Collect cheek swabs using the kit’s supplied pouch or preservation materials and return them to the designated European laboratory.
Preparing for your test
- Instructions
- Follow supplied swab preparation, collection and mailing instructions. Use within 12 months is recommended; printed expiry and viability conditions apply.
About tellmeGen
tellmeGen offers a selected-variant Advanced kit and a broader Ultra whole-genome kit. Both use home cheek swabs for health-risk, ancestry and wellness reports. Ultra adds a renewing tellmeGen+ plan after the introductory period; US medication-report availability differs by product.

What people praise
A straightforward testing process
Customers describe an easy-to-use kit and a smooth process from collection to results, with clear communication helping them understand what happens after sending their sample.
Interesting health and ancestry insights
Buyers appreciate the range of information available in their results, finding new details to explore about health and ancestry beyond what they already knew.
Things to know
- Advanced advertises lifetime report updates.
The selected Advanced kit has no mandatory renewal; raw chip data differ from whole-genome files.
- Optional research can include AI training.
Research is voluntary and may include commercial collaborations and AI training.
- US medication-report access depends on the tier.
US medication-report access differs by tier and may require a prescription route.

How does Advanced differ from Ultra?
Advanced analyzes selected variants using a microarray, with imputed results. Ultra uses whole-genome sequencing and has different report and subscription terms.
Are US medication reports included?
Current US SKU advertises 95 pharmacogenetic reports. Provider US help says release requires physician prescription for a medical indication/current medication, with no additional fee. Product advertising and help do not reconcile automatic access for every US buyer; conditional/partial US availability, not an extra paid report.
Does Alzheimer’s coverage mean an APOE genotype?
Advanced includes a general Alzheimer disease-risk report. Compare the specific report contents rather than assuming every risk report supplies a complete APOE genotype.
Is a consultation included?
No included US appointment established. Genetics-team support differs from separately paid professional consultation.
What happens if I cancel?
No mandatory plan found. Account deletion, consent withdrawal and statutory access are separate; retain downloaded original reports.
