Total Cholesterol
The combined amount of cholesterol carried by the major blood lipoprotein groups.

The amount of cholesterol carried inside HDL particles in the blood.
Triglycerides
Fats circulating in the blood that store energy from food the body does not immediately use.
LDL Cholesterol (LDL-C)Calc

INSTRUCTIONS
Fasting Required
If a cholesterol measurement is to be performed along with triglycerides, the patient should be fasting 9-12 hours prior to collection.
Drink Water
Test recipients are encouraged to drink plenty of water. This will make your test easier to complete (a.k.a. your blood will flow easier).
