About Genomind

Genomind’s at-home test examines selected variants relevant to medication response. An independent clinician authorizes the cheek-swab test, and a genetic counselor helps explain the report. Your prescribing clinician remains responsible for medication choices.

Alternatives

FAQs

What does the $599 price include?

The kit, clinician authorization, laboratory testing, reports, shipping/handling and a 30-minute genetic-counselor consultation. There is no required test subscription; prescribing care and medicines are separate.

Will Genomind change my prescriptions?

No. Neither Genomind nor PWNHealth makes prescribing decisions through this purchase. Take the results to the clinician managing your medications.

Can I use insurance for this purchase?

The selected at-home package is self-pay. Insurance-billed PGx testing requires a separate order from your existing clinician; that route can have different financial terms. HSA/FSA payment is advertised, subject to plan rules.

Does it screen for disease risk or ancestry?

No. This is a medication-related genetic report, rather than cancer, inherited-condition, carrier or ancestry screening. The separate Mental Health Map product is not bundled here.

Does it sequence all of these genes?

No. Targeted genotyping tests selected variants and misses unlisted ones. Gene/drug counts do not mean complete-gene coverage or equally actionable results.

When must I return my sample?

The lab must receive it within three months of the order; otherwise the order is canceled without refund. A quality-failure replacement has its own three-month submission window. See the policy for applicable refunds and exceptions.

How do storage and research choices work?

Optional leftover-sample research consent permits indefinite deidentified sample storage/research. The privacy policy separately permits internal deidentified data research and legally required record retention; declining sample storage is not a promise to erase every clinical record.
