What’s included
Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)
A protein carried by certain cholesterol-carrying particles; its amount reflects their total number.
HDL Cholesterol (HDL-C)
The amount of cholesterol carried inside HDL particles in the blood.
LDL Cholesterol (LDL-C)
The amount of cholesterol carried inside LDL particles, rather than the number of particles.
Triglycerides
Fats circulating in the blood that store energy from food the body does not immediately use.
Total Cholesterol
The combined amount of cholesterol carried by the major blood lipoprotein groups.
Insulin
A pancreatic hormone that helps move sugar from blood into cells and regulates energy storage.
Fasting
US only
Glucose
The amount of glucose, the body's main circulating sugar and an energy source, in blood.
Fasting
Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)
Percentage of hemoglobin with sugar attached, reflecting average blood sugar over roughly two to three months.
Sodium
A major electrolyte that helps regulate fluid balance and supports nerve and muscle function.
Potassium
An electrolyte needed for normal nerve signals, muscle contraction and heart function.
Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate (DHEA-S)Women only
An adrenal hormone the body uses to make testosterone and estrogen.
Free TestosteroneMen only
The portion of testosterone circulating without being attached to blood proteins.
Cortisol
An adrenal hormone involved in stress response, metabolism, blood pressure and inflammation.
Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG)
A protein made mainly by the liver that carries testosterone, estradiol and other sex hormones in blood.
Total Testosterone
All testosterone circulating in blood, including protein-bound and unbound forms.
Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
A pituitary hormone that signals the thyroid gland to produce thyroid hormones.
Total Calcium
All calcium circulating in blood, including calcium attached to proteins and free calcium.
Vitamin D (25-hydroxy)
The main circulating form of vitamin D, reflecting vitamin D from sunlight, food and supplements.
Magnesium
A mineral involved in muscle and nerve function, heart rhythm and many enzyme reactions.
Red blood cell
Magnesium
A mineral involved in muscle and nerve function, heart rhythm and many enzyme reactions.
Serum
Ferritin
An iron-storage protein whose blood level generally reflects the body's iron stores.
Vitamin B12
A vitamin needed for red blood cell formation, nervous-system function and DNA production.
Folate (Vitamin B9)
Vitamin B9, needed for making DNA, cell division and red blood cell production.
Transferrin Saturation (TSAT)Calc
Percentage of iron-binding sites occupied, usually calculated from blood iron and total iron-binding capacity.
Total Iron-Binding Capacity (TIBC)
Estimated capacity of the blood's transferrin protein to bind and carry iron.
Iron
Iron circulating in blood at collection, mostly attached to the transport protein transferrin.
C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
A liver-made protein that rises in response to inflammation, measured with conventional or high-sensitivity assays.
High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)
Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT)
A liver-cell enzyme that can enter the blood when those cells are damaged.
Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST)
An enzyme in the liver, muscles and other tissues that can enter blood when cells are damaged.
Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT)
An enzyme assessed alongside other findings when investigating liver or bile-duct injury.
White Blood Cell Count (WBC)
The total number of white blood cells in a given volume of blood.
Neutrophils
White blood cells that play a central role in the body's early immune responses.
Basophils
White blood cells involved in allergic reactions and inflammatory signaling.
Eosinophils
A type of white blood cell, reported as a count or percentage of white cells.
Lymphocytes
A group of white blood cells involved in the body's immune responses.
Monocytes
White blood cells that help remove damaged cells and microbes and can develop into tissue immune cells.
Hemoglobin (Hgb)
The iron-containing protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen around the body.
Platelet Count
The number of platelets in a given volume of circulating blood.
Hematocrit (Hct)
The share of your blood volume occupied by red blood cells.
Mean Platelet Volume (MPV)
The average size of circulating platelets, distinct from how many platelets are present.
Red Blood Cell Count (RBC)
The number of mature red blood cells in a given volume of blood.
Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH)Calc
Calculated average amount of hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein, in each red blood cell.
Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC)Calc
The calculated average concentration of hemoglobin within packed red blood cells.
Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW)
How much red blood cells vary in size, rather than their average size.
Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV)
The average size of your red blood cells, reported as their volume.
Albumin
A liver-made blood protein that helps retain fluid and transport other substances.
Creatine Kinase (CK)
Activity of an enzyme released from tissues, especially skeletal muscle, into the blood.

Reviews
What people praise
Useful explanations alongside the numbers
Customers appreciate personalized analysis and practical suggestions that help them understand their lab results, rather than leaving them to interpret a long list of measurements alone.
Helpful support with account issues
Reviewers praise support staff who respond clearly and help with testing deadlines or account problems, making it easier to use a purchase they might otherwise have missed.
What people complain about
Deadlines and subscriptions affect value
Some customers are frustrated when an unused test expires or access changes under a subscription, especially after expecting to keep using something they had already purchased.
Stories
Nicole Dobransky
Iron results helped her regain energy for running
Nicole felt exhausted while training for a half marathon, and InsideTracker testing showed low ferritin and hemoglobin. After discussing the findings and changing her iron intake, repeat tests returned to normal and she reported feeling more energetic on her runs.
